I am so blessed. With this life that is nothing short of a fairytale.....

2 month check up

The day Raelinn got her 2 month shots made the list for top 5 worst days of my life. She cried. I cried. The nurse had to tell me "she's alright mom...." Of course I knew she was fine, but she sobbed....and cried so hard her lips turned blue. :( when we got home, she sobbed more....so I cried. TJ gave her Tylenol and she finally fell asleep. It was AWFUL. TJ told me to never cry in front of him again, because it makes him want to cry. Made me laugh. Baby weighs 9lbs 9oz and is 21 3/4" long. Growing, but still a tiny baby. Can I just say I love that she still fits in newborn clothes?! :) because I do. She's my world. Her and her daddy. And next time, he's coming along for her shots! I can't do it alone again!

Raelinn's Blessing Day

6-2-13 Raelinn Ann Ladner was given a name and a blessing from her daddy. It was such a special day. Her dress was made by Jennie Stoltenberg and it will definitely be a special thing for her to keep and maybe pass on to her daughter. Sharie made a beautiful turquoise bracelet that she wore that day also! I'm so grateful for the church, and all the blessings and knowledge that come with being a member. I'm so proud of my husband for being so strong in the church and holding the priesthood so that he could bless our baby. :)

Memorial Day Weekend

-I planted flowers!! Now that we are home owners we can spice up the yard!
........six days later they died.
-We had our annual family get together at Jim Butler park. Gramps came in from the ranch and we snapped a few family shots with him. :) He is just the neatest man. I love that Raelinn and I are named after him!
-Went to the arm wrestling tournament to watch uncle Dan kick butt!! Sweet Raelinn looked so adorable that day :) just love her so much.

1 year

When we were first dating, we got chinese food in Bishop, my fortune cookie said that God will give me everything I want. Shortly after I got a loving husband and a baby. That fortune nailed it! On our 1 year anniversary, we ate chinese food. Tj's fortune read: Use your abilities at this timd to stay focused on a goal. You will suceed. I asked him what his goal was, he said temple marriage.
We drove up to Reno Saturday, did some shopping and ate at Texas Roadhouse for our anniversary dinner. Sunday was Stake conference in Fallon, and our official 1 year anniversary!!! We got ready at our hotel room in Reno and drove to Fallon. Stake conference was wonderful!!! One of the 12 Apostles, Elder Dallin H. Oaks was there. He spoke about the high points and low points of our stake. One of the low points was young married couples not being sealed in the temple. Ding Ding Ding. That's us. I know it's selfish of me to say, but it's almost like his talk was meant just for us! It's not that we have put our temple marriage on the back burner, we had to wait until Tj had been baptized for a year, so we technically were not able to go. His talk was so inspiring and just what we needed to hear. Afterwards he let everybody who attended shake his hand. We were only in his direct presence for maybe 10 seconds and it was amazing. He had such a strong spirit about him. So humble and wise. In that moment, I knew the church was so undoubtably true. This man was not an ordinary person, but a disciple of God! He looked right down at Raelinn, then into our eyes and said "You're doing the work of The Lord.....God bless you" It just about brought tears to my eyes. People thought we were crazy waiting only two months after getting married to have a baby....but it just felt right. After all, we are commanded to multiply and replenish the Earth. Our first year together was nothing short of amazing. We bought our first house, had a baby, bought a car, went on trips, camped out, had a litter of puppies, spent time together laughing non-stop, and when I say non-stop I mean it. Heavenly Father has blessed us with a life nothing short of a fairytale. We are so crazy butt in love and never (and in that I mean not one time) fight! We are a team. Best friends. Soon, we will be a forever family! I'm so excited for the upcoming years, but this year, our first, will be so special to me forever.

Summertime is coming!

We are loving this warmer weather! I've started hanging clothes (blankets and pants mostly) on the clothes line out front...and it surprisingly makes me love doing laundry. We have an old washer we were given and there is no spot to put fabric softener in, so I have to catch it on the rinse cycle. It's become a challenge for me. I normally HATE HATE HATE laundry...but there is just something about soft baby blankets blowing in the wind! (Not to mention our dryer we paid 50$ for is about to croak so I don't really have an other option :) We've spent some time down at the corals with the animals. Can I just say I LOVE my husband most when he's got his chaps on trimming or shoeing horses. Oh. My. Goodness. There's just something sexy about a cowboy!! Mom ordered 25 chicks (as if we didn't have enough) she said they don't have very many laying hens, just cute chickens that lay tiny pathetic eggs if they lay at all. Ha! Eggs or not those chickens have Jew fros!! And it's hilarious. Raelinn Ann is growing like a weed. Smiling and cooing all the time. Completely melts my heart. She is filling out, but still so tiny. She is still in newborn clothes and I love it! Motherhood is truly amazing. Last but not least, TJ and I got our temple recommends!!!!! Eeeek!!! So close to being an eternally family I can almost taste it!!! Wonder how it would taste....probably something close to a brownie sundae. Sweet and warm in the bottom of your stomach....yep. Well it's 2:38am....just got done feeding the baby and I think when I read this post tomorrow I'll book myself in to a crazy person hospital, but I keep this blog to remember everything, even how crazy I get from lack of sleep being a new mommy. I will say this, it is totally, 100% worth it.
