January and February

I'm going to squeeze January and February into a pictures and a few words. That is how busy my life has been lately. Which I totally hate. Crazy days fly by....Rae is 10+ months old right now. Do you know how badly I wish I could slow time down?! Make my days a little less hectic so that I can soak every baby-ounce of her up?!! I look back and think "How did this happen?!!! How is my baby almost a year old?!!" I'm starting to plan her birthday, and it's KILLING me. Honestly though, as I've finally had to come to terms with myself getting older, having Rae turn one is really such a wonderful blessing.  We are not promised tomorrow. We are not promised anything in life, but we have moments that will be cherished forever. Seeing her grow these 10 1/2 months, and capturing these special memories in pictures is such a gift! Now, I'm done rambling, enjoy looking into the past few months of our lives.

Football season!! Ayla and Rae are the cutest baby 12's ever
She was stuck like this for a few minutes. I laughed and laughed!! After a few minutes she realized she could sit down. Haha
Ready for the NFC championship game....
           But church first!
Rae wasn't feeling good, so mommy drove her to Bishop just to be sure!! Healthy baby, 16lbs 11oz
She wears daddies boots so well!
         Reading some Dr. Seuss
          Super Bowl Sunday!!!
        Champions!!!!!!!
Tj finally decided to put our wood stove in.....that we bought over the summer, and it is now February! Can you say procrastinator?? The Christmas lights prove that word to be a perfect description.
Rae comes to dance class with me every week! Jessica Maley gave her a sucker!
            First time wearing piggy tails!!!!!!
Valentines day! We drove to Reno with my friend Justin had sushi and did a little shopping. Love Is All You Need

Feb 24th Rae started pushing her toy around....soon after she was walking along the furniture.

Raelinn had her first haircut!

So we were sitting on the couch. We had just finished dinner and Rae's face was a complete mess with sweet potato's allll over her! (I have been making her food from scratch rather than buying it, and it's so awesome!)  Anyways, she rubbed most of her newborn hair out on the back and the sides but not on the top! As her hair started filling in and growing longer that hair on the top kept growing and growing. Soon it was past her eyes. It drove her crazy, I could tell, and it drove me even crazier. I was constantly trying to push her bangs to the side to keep them out of her little face! After dinner that night, December 4th, I had had enough! So I grabbed the camera and the big kitchen scissors (why I didn't just run to the salon and grab my shears is beyond me!) haha So I cut that little lock of hair right there on the couch in our living room! What a difference it made. She looks like such a grown up baby now.

Christmas Day

We spent the night at my parents house again this year.  We stayed in our pj's all day, and watched all of the Santa Clause movies (ya know, the ones with Tim Allen) and then topped it off with Christmas Vacation. We ate a ton of leftovers from our Christmas Eve dinner and didn't really move off of the couch. Isn't that was Christmas Day is all about?!?

Raelinn was so much fun. She loved to tear the wrapping paper....even though she didn't realize what she was tearing it for! Santa Clause brought her a crib (finally!!) We bought her some books and movies, and mom and papa, auntie Jess and Jason spoiled her with toys!! Aunt Bernie bought her a pretty tinkerbell snow globe that is up on her shelf in her room :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hanging out in Christmas pj's playing with mommy

Tj and I hung up Christmas lights on our house :) It was so freezing cold outside!!

Tj and I drove down to Vegas to go Christmas shopping and go to our family Christmas party! We shopped all day! We went allllll around Vegas looking for cribs. We let her try them all out too :)

At the Christmas party we had carolers!! Missionaries (including sisters)! It was so fun to listen :)
Shopping earlier that day was Rae's first time at a mall!!!
We decided it was time to get her ears pierced.....she was so happy when we went in to Claire's...
She cried...I cried....but they look so cute!!
Rae sat on Santa's lap for the first time at the convention center

We had our ward Christmas party that the primary presidency put on! It turned out great.

Raelinn loves to stick her tongue out and blow raspberry's
These are the lovely ladies in the primary presidency! We sang a hymn for part of the program. I am so grateful for this time of the year. :)
